Our Story

We love sheep

We have always loved animals. After many years in the suburbs, we decided that illegal chickens hidden in the backyard were not enough. In 2019, we began the search for our forever farm. We found a historic farm in rural Newtown, Virginia and we have never looked back.

The sheep started with a small flock of East Friesians and moved quickly into raising Icelandic sheep due to the breed’s independence, personality, and reputation as being tri-purpose (wool, milk, and meat). While we will always have a love for all sheep, Icelandic sheep stole our heart.

Along this journey, we have met many friends and mentors. We dedicate a lot of our success to them. We have also expanded the farm’s initial acreage almost seven fold since we initially purchased it. We are always working on new ways to innovate and create a sustainable flock.
